Rednecks blocade the capital

…from the quill of Antisthenes

You may have noticed the recent spine-chilling terminology, as in “Murdoch’s media trying to bring a regime change”. The crooks in Canberra call themselves “a regime”, because to call themselves a legitimate government would be too much even for our docile press to swallow. Brazen Bob Brown could perhaps try, relying on his “green” immunity. Should my description of the current Federal government as “crooks” and “illegitimate” set some socialist heart aflutter, please recall the wilfully false promise they made to gain power.

It is also amusing how, for example Get Up clowns, financed from trade unions’ funds by the union apparatchiks without the knowledge or consent of the union members, are described by our media as a “grass-roots movement” and the genuine citizens’ resistance is dismissed as “tea partyist stunt”. So, if you think of supporting the Convoy of No Confidence in the Federal Government, details are here:

About Antisthenes

A Greek philosopher, a pupil of Socrates. Led a revolt, with Diogenes, against the demands of the city-state and the sophistication of life. Accepted the interrelation of knowledge, virtue, and happiness; and sought the ideal condition for happiness in return to primitivism and self-sufficiency. Rejected all social distinctions as based on convention, scorned orthodox religion as a fabrication of lies, and studied early legends and animal life in order to arrive at a true understanding of natural law. The individual was free and self-sufficient when he was master of his passions, secure in his intelligence, impervious to social or religious demands, and satisfied with the poverty of a mendicant. Needless to say, a person who on the Fog of Chaos adopted the Athenian philosopher's name has nothing whatsoever in common with him.
