Julia forever!

…from the quill of Antisthenes

As far as I am concerned Ms Julia Gillard is doing excellent job and should remain the leader of the Australian Labor Party for ever and after.* Give her your unwavering support, comrades, please.

If you took the time and trouble to read the statutory declaration mentioned in Antisthenes – She is unbridled , you may wonder what is the fuss about. There is no indication there of any unlawful action on Ms Gillard’s part, sometime in 1995. At the worst, it may give rise to doubts about her judgement and intelligence, but for that nobody needs prompting by Mr Robert John Kernohan’s declaration. The squeaky clean people do not enter politics, if they want to remain at least a bit clean. Her tantrums over her slightly sullied history revisited are firstly just a smelly red mullet, usefully taking the attention away from the impeding major disaster for Australia i.e. so called carbon tax. Secondly, they establish a useful precedent.

That Australian Broadcasting Commission banned a journalist Glenn Milne, who first wrote about her personal and professional connection with the convicted trade union official Bruce Wilson is understandable. The ABC is ALP propaganda machine, occasionally with a Green tint to simulate independence. The question could be ‘what took them so long’? Somebody took seriously the Let one flower bloom policy? Have they not been ordered earlier? Some ALP apparatchik responsible for agitprop slipped up? Perhaps not; the ban now is the more effective, timely warning to those few in our media who occasionally refuse to support the socialist agenda. The Australian‘s caving in is less understandable, but only slightly so. Its boss, Mr Murdoch, knows very well that journalism is not about the freedom of speech of citizens – it is about making money and influencing people in order to make more money.

Unfortunately, the fiat censorship precedent has been set. Comrades Conroy, Brown, Rhianon and Wong rejoice. Citizens cry.

*/ with a proviso that the currently ruling ALP does not cancel the elections, however manipulated those are.

About Antisthenes

A Greek philosopher, a pupil of Socrates. Led a revolt, with Diogenes, against the demands of the city-state and the sophistication of life. Accepted the interrelation of knowledge, virtue, and happiness; and sought the ideal condition for happiness in return to primitivism and self-sufficiency. Rejected all social distinctions as based on convention, scorned orthodox religion as a fabrication of lies, and studied early legends and animal life in order to arrive at a true understanding of natural law. The individual was free and self-sufficient when he was master of his passions, secure in his intelligence, impervious to social or religious demands, and satisfied with the poverty of a mendicant. Needless to say, a person who on the Fog of Chaos adopted the Athenian philosopher's name has nothing whatsoever in common with him.
