10th September, 1956 : A Labor Minister has crossed the floor in Tasmania, joining the Liberal Party and allowing the Liberals to form a Government. The former Housing Minister, Mr Bramich, is expected to support a censure motion by the Opposition when a division is taken tomorrow night. Mr Bramich’s resignation follows a series of quarrels with Ministers and Party members.

    And what about the next week? “Carbon” tax. Will any labor politician have the guts to vote for Australia, rather then for his or her miserable pension?
