NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN (ALMOST)
25th November, 1928 : Hundreds of supporters of Leon Trotsky have been arrested and exiled in the Soviet Union as Josef Stalin tightens his grip on the country. The moves came after the Trotskyists held rallies in Moscow and other cities to mark the anniversary of the 1917 revolution. In Kiev there were more than 100 arrests and in Leningrad some 80.
