NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN (ALMOST)

17th December, 1947 : The Tasmanian Premier, Robert Cosgrove, has resigned after a Royal Commission decided that he had a case to answer on charges that he had been paid sums of money for a Labor Party fund he controlled, allegedly in return for favours sought by transport and racing interests.
