Albanese Apex

…from the quill of Antisthenes the Younger

Just when you thought the Labor government reached the utmost limits of the deceit and hypocrisy, there comes another revelation. Revelation of Report 117: Transport Energy Futures – Long Term Oil Supply Trends and Projections from Australian public service via a French citizen Jean-Marc Jancovici to one of the few remaining courageous Australian journalists – Piers Akerman in The Daily Telegraph. Full article, which relates to a report by Dr David Gargett on Australia’s perilous state of liquid fuels, thus disagreeable to the incompetent Labor Government and the Minister Anthony Albanese’s almost successful attempt to “disappear” the report :

What other unpalatable facts has ALP government managed to hide? Are there any decent Australians left in the Public Service prepared to blow a whistle?

About Antisthenes

A Greek philosopher, a pupil of Socrates. Led a revolt, with Diogenes, against the demands of the city-state and the sophistication of life. Accepted the interrelation of knowledge, virtue, and happiness; and sought the ideal condition for happiness in return to primitivism and self-sufficiency. Rejected all social distinctions as based on convention, scorned orthodox religion as a fabrication of lies, and studied early legends and animal life in order to arrive at a true understanding of natural law. The individual was free and self-sufficient when he was master of his passions, secure in his intelligence, impervious to social or religious demands, and satisfied with the poverty of a mendicant. Needless to say, a person who on the Fog of Chaos adopted the Athenian philosopher's name has nothing whatsoever in common with him.

“Are there any decent Australians left in the Public Service prepared to blow a whistle?” No. Leaks only come when one Labor faction wishes to embarrass the other.

  2. Mouser says:

Not all public servants are Labor supporters. Up to 5% may be voting for the Coalition.

  3. Taurus says:

5% !? Julia would like to know their names.

  4. slegnef says:

She knows; it is called transparency in the government. By the way, do we still have those Whistle Blowers Protection Acts the Labor Party so pushed when in opposition?

  5. Antisthenes says:

I think we do. They are very useful when you are about to die, retire, or about to change your name and emigrate. Otherwise, forget about any legal protection and prepare yourself for martyrdom. A wounded pit-bull on steroids is a pussy-cat compared to a politician “leaked”. And the Labor ones get their training in the wiper-nests, also called the trade union halls.

  6. Enildos says:

I tend to agree with you.
