NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN (ALMOST)

27th March, 1935 : At least 35 people are believed to have drowned, five boats have been confirmed sunk and another five are unaccounted for after cyclonic winds shattered the pearling fleet off Broome early today. The ocean is littered with driftwood and hatch cover from splintered boats. One body has been washed ashore minus its legs and arms.
