19th April, 1982 : A colour television set improperly declared to Customs, today caused the resignation of two Federal Ministers, further damaging the Fraser Government. The Minister for Health, Michael MacKellar, resigned over the TV set, which he verbally declared, although it was not declared on a customs form, and he did not pay duty which was due. John Moore, the Minister responsible for Customs, resigned over his failure to properly pursue Mr MacKellar’s offence.

[Remember the ministerial responsibility? It seems so long time ago now]
