NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN (ALMOST)

  9th May, 1968 : Alarmed by the liberalising tide released by the new Czech Communist leader Alexander Dubček, the Russians have begun moving troops and tanks through Poland and East Germany up to the Czech frontier. Fears of invasion have been heightened by reports of hastily called meeting in Moscow during the weekend, which included all the Soviet East European satellite countries except Rumania and Czechoslovakia.
