…from the quill of Antisthenes the Younger
I know nothing of the Australian Labor Party internal rules, but I was somewhat surprised when Gillard fresh from her Turkish holidays peremptorily announced that her mate Craig Thomson crossed the line and that she expelled him from the party. One would think that even in a socialist party the comrades have some voting rights. Of course, my impression was wrong again; I ought to know by now that everything about her is false, and any benefit of doubt given to her is entirely misplaced. Thomson apparently had been offering to suspend himself for some time. Of course,it has to be borne in mind that his veracity is right down there, next to Gillard’s. Gillard’s minions obediently changed the tune in accordance with the party’s Fuehrerprinzip. Soviet Russia is our enemy! Jawohl, Herr Fuehrer! Soviet Russia is our friend! Jawohl, Mein Fuehrer! Some do not even bother any more to find what her current line is; they agree and whole-heartily support it, sight unseen, at least in public. [Shorten: I agree with PM, even though I don’t know what she said] Jawohl, Kamerad Fuehrer!
Otherwise one feels sorry for poor Craig; he so obviously belongs to Australian Labor Party, where he enjoys admiration, albeit tinged with envy, and support of his as yet not outed colleagues. But he is a brave man, undaunted, and hoping to return to the bosom of his own kind soon. Labor Party is his party and he is the party. There perhaps is a silver lining on that temporary cloud, for he, presumably, does not have to pay the party dues, unless Gillard issued fuehrerbefehl to the contrary. It would be unusual, but then everything in those circles is unusual to say at least.
For fairness (ALP members can find the meaning of that word in a dictionary) sake I state that The Honourable Mr Craig Thomson denies all and any allegations against him and refuses to talk to the police. He does not claim that he is young and naïve, perhaps because it was used before and may be subject to a copyright. At the moment he still only blames his bad mates in the union; presumably CIA made me do it and Abbott’s revenge are to come in due course.
We should be indignado – outraged, that this corruption ridden ALP lot presumes to pass the laws to rule us, but we are not Spanish. Also, we do not care.
