mugabe24th June, 1978 : In the worst massacre of Rhodesia’s six-years bush war, 12 Britons, including wives and children, were bayoneted and bludgeoned to death last night at a lonely mission station near Vumba, in the Eastern Highlands. The bodies were found today scattered across a cricket pitch. The gang, calling themselves soldiers of Robert Mugabe’s Zimbabwe African National Liberation Army, rounded up the missionaries and their families. One middle-aged woman was raped before having an axe buried in her skull. The children had been bayoneted.

[A good friend of ex-PM Malcolm Fraser, that Mugabe. Comrade Robert Gabriel Mugabe of the Shona tribe, rules to this day.]
