Crocodile tears

…from the quill of Antisthenes the Younger

Whenever one hears objections to hunting one is astonished by the ignorance of the objectors. It reminds one of all those western Islam followers, reciting verses from koran in Arabic, without understanding a word of it. I guess the mentality is the same.

crocodile.ride The mindless and selfish animal lovers, with no comprehension (regardless of the formal education) of biology or ecology, but with good understanding of manipulation of media and amoral politicians, managed, once again to stymie the safari hunting of crocodiles in Northern Territory [ Fog of Chaos – See you later crocodile] The inconvenient fact is that hunters, and the paying hunters in particular, save more animals that all the crying lot combined. Crocodiles may not be that cuddly, at least in my experience, but the less intelligent amongst us have in their mediocre brains the image similar to the one on the left.

The excuses that they mean well are plainly wrong, and we should not be making them. The benign expression “touchy-feely” is a misnomer, for deep down those people are just nasty misanthropes. It would be amusing if it were not so tragic, both for people and animals. A good illustration of the inanity of a person deluded by the animal rights propaganda is provided by a recent case in Canada, where a typical representative of that gaggle stopped on a busy highway at night to “save” ducks, causing death of two human beings.

There is no cure for stupidity, I know, but the rest of us at least should try put a pressure on that human flotsam, pretending to be our elected representatives, not to give in to the moaning of the lowest of the low. There is more of us than them. Or am I wrong?

About Antisthenes

A Greek philosopher, a pupil of Socrates. Led a revolt, with Diogenes, against the demands of the city-state and the sophistication of life. Accepted the interrelation of knowledge, virtue, and happiness; and sought the ideal condition for happiness in return to primitivism and self-sufficiency. Rejected all social distinctions as based on convention, scorned orthodox religion as a fabrication of lies, and studied early legends and animal life in order to arrive at a true understanding of natural law. The individual was free and self-sufficient when he was master of his passions, secure in his intelligence, impervious to social or religious demands, and satisfied with the poverty of a mendicant. Needless to say, a person who on the Fog of Chaos adopted the Athenian philosopher's name has nothing whatsoever in common with him.
