Food waste concerns and wasteful Michelle

…from the quill of Antisthenes the Younger

For anyone watching the main stream media obedience to the Big Money and ‘Socialist International’, the media’s current obsession with so called food waste must be amusing. Not sooner you get over the Left’s attack on La Tomatina, when you read something like this, closer to home:

According to the ABC, Keep South Australia Beautiful (KSAB) has commenced talks with the state government to start a trial that will see it monitor the size of schnitzels served at pubs and restaurants in a bid to reduce food waste and landfill.

Suspecting that the Chief Executive Officer of KSAB John Phillips could not come up with something so profound on his own I searched further and discovered British Broadcasting Corporation article of 4th August 2016 Italy adopts new law to slash food waste, which lists more articles of the same ilk:

Food waste reduction could help feed world’s starving / 3-7-14

The supermarkets’ guilty secret about unsold food / 6-11-15

Italian court rules food theft ‘not a crime’ if hungry */ 3-5-16

Could tech reduce food waste and help feed the world? 17-6-16

Undoubtedly a check of The Guardian articles would show the similar trend, but I can’t be bothered with their unintelligent propaganda, just fit for academics, and its grammatical and spelling errors.

schnitzelCertainly there are many obese people, and yes, some food get wasted, and yes, some people do not have enough to eat. But governments’ regulations? I feel that supermarkets are already doing all they can to reduce the waste by offering smaller and smaller packages of victuals for the same price. Thrift generally and non-wasting of food used to be normal to the previous generations without government regulations, though sometimes during the wars encouraged by the propaganda, mostly created by people avoiding military service. Post WWII aggressive advertising, the rise of the TV ‘culture’ and mindless encouragement of consumption by the economists and other ‘experts’ has led to physically and mentally unfit generations. Ignoring the economy and the human nature is de riguer for the Left totalitarians, but governmentally decreed smaller portions, distributing the food to the ‘needy’** or any similar idiocy will have the same effect as an attempt to change the climate.

Again, food consumption is just another area of human existence which the Big Money and the dictatorial Left plans to control. Their propaganda is starting to have effect:

...A Georgia man is facing criminal charges after raging at his spouse for making a grilled cheese sandwich too cheesy, cops allege.

According to an Athens-Clarke County Police Department report, James De Paola, 55, began “shouting and cursing” at his wife Michelle during a confrontation last Wednesday afternoon in the couple’s Athens home.

The unemployed De Paola became incensed at his 51-year-old spouse due to her “using three slices of cheese in a grilled cheese sandwich.” De Paola told cops that he had told the victim she “could make a grilled cheese sandwich with two pieces of cheese instead of three.

*/ This could significantly reduce the cost of your Italian holidays

**/ It would seem that many needy “refugees” are very fit, some, in fact, are so fit and have so much time to spare that they can compete in the Olympics.

About Antisthenes

A Greek philosopher, a pupil of Socrates. Led a revolt, with Diogenes, against the demands of the city-state and the sophistication of life. Accepted the interrelation of knowledge, virtue, and happiness; and sought the ideal condition for happiness in return to primitivism and self-sufficiency. Rejected all social distinctions as based on convention, scorned orthodox religion as a fabrication of lies, and studied early legends and animal life in order to arrive at a true understanding of natural law. The individual was free and self-sufficient when he was master of his passions, secure in his intelligence, impervious to social or religious demands, and satisfied with the poverty of a mendicant. Needless to say, a person who on the Fog of Chaos adopted the Athenian philosopher's name has nothing whatsoever in common with him.

Idiocy of the public is as boundless as the deviousness of the socialists. It starts with tobacco, then sugar – and then everything.

The Left is testing the limits of our stupidity; so far no limits.

I guess that the planet-saving dictators haven’t heard of junior portions.
