10th April, 1940 : Denmark accepts the German ultimatum.

King Haakon of Norway repudiates the puppet government of Vidkun Quisling.

A British flotilla commanded by Captain Warburton Lee surprises ten German destroyers in Narvik fjord and sinks two, but loses two of his own ships.
