You dissin’ me?

. . . from the quill of Antisthenes the Younger

krypton-explodesUpset that their science is disrespected, the clowns took to the streets. As is increasingly happening to me, at first I thought I misread something. Also, today it is hard to distinguish between a joke and Main-sewer Media news. No, it was for real, as much as anything in our progressive times is real.

I recall sometime ago a demonstration somewhere against cuts in medical spending. In order to add gravity to the protest, one of the Soros’ “charities” provided white coats to the usual rent-a-crowd. Perhaps this time white coats, glasses and vagina hats were supplied by Soros. The so called march for science was nothing but the march to silence those who try to restrict the flow of taxpayers’ money to pseudo-scientists. All sorts of charlatans try to cloak their scams in the cloak of science. Even communists claim their ideology is scientific Marxism or scientific Marxism-Leninism.resist-trump

Just as American Negroes do not realise that respect has to be earned, so do not the parasites and charlatans who in short twenty years or so brought the science into disrepute. Unfortunately, it is not only notorious climate “science” -

The journal Tumor Biology is retracting 107 research papers after discovering that the authors faked the peer review process. This isn’t the journal’s first rodeo. Late last year, 58 papers were retracted from seven different journals— 25 came from Tumor Biology for the same reason.

It’s possible to fake peer review because authors are often asked to suggest potential reviewers for their own papers. This is done because research subjects are often blindingly niche; a researcher working in a sub-sub-field may be more aware than the journal editor of who is best-placed to assess the work.

But some journals go further and request, or allow, authors to submit the contact details of these potential reviewers. If the editor isn’t aware of the potential for a scam, they then merrily send the requests for review out to fake e-mail addresses, often using the names of actual researchers. And at the other end of the fake e-mail address is someone who’s in on the game and happy to send in a friendly review.”

Non sequitur – a Spanish word “peer” means “fart”.

If those few remaining scientists were really concerned about science they should be aghast about abysmal state of science teaching on the lower levels, where teachers whose educational standards prevented them from admission to a police academy teach science to such politically correct effect that the products of their teaching are prepared to sign a petition banning dihydrogen oxide.

Even scientists working for the governments are not safe today –

Unable to think, the sheep wants more taxpayers’s money -

For Totalitarianism Day (formerly Earth Day), over three dozen weather forecasting organizations have issued a joint (or, in their revealing word, “Collective”) “Global Climate Statement”. It has not exactly made headlines: even the Mainstream media are tired of yet another pietistic, self-serving demand that more taxpayers’ money should be sent in the direction of yet another generously-proportioned trough in which the rent-seekers keep their snouts.” /

Yes, charlatans, I am disrespecting you.

About Antisthenes

A Greek philosopher, a pupil of Socrates. Led a revolt, with Diogenes, against the demands of the city-state and the sophistication of life. Accepted the interrelation of knowledge, virtue, and happiness; and sought the ideal condition for happiness in return to primitivism and self-sufficiency. Rejected all social distinctions as based on convention, scorned orthodox religion as a fabrication of lies, and studied early legends and animal life in order to arrive at a true understanding of natural law. The individual was free and self-sufficient when he was master of his passions, secure in his intelligence, impervious to social or religious demands, and satisfied with the poverty of a mendicant. Needless to say, a person who on the Fog of Chaos adopted the Athenian philosopher's name has nothing whatsoever in common with him.
