No pain no gain – but unfortunately unnecessary pain when the obvious dangers are ignored. Politicians suffer no pain – you do.

26th March, 1941 : Reconnaissance aircraft of the 10th Fliegerkorps based in Sicily warn the Italian naval command that the battleships Barham and Warspite and the aircraft Formidable are back in the naval base at Alexandria.

Demonstration against the signing of the Tripartite Pact break out all over Yugoslavia. Protests came from trade unions, peasants, the church and the army. Mr C.S.Amery, Secretary for Burma and India, broadcasts to Yugoslavia: “Will Yugoslavia sell her honour and liberty for a German promise?”
