No pain no gain – but unfortunately unnecessary pain when the obvious dangers are ignored. Politicians suffer no pain – you do.

21st April, 1941 : The SS Adolf Hitler Division takes Ioannina, on the flank of the Greek line facing the Italians. At Larisa, the headquarters of the German 12 th Army (von List) , Greek plenipotentiaries sign the capitulation. Sixteen divisions lay down their arms. The news infuriates Mussolini, and on Hitler orders the ceremony has to be repeated two days later in a villa near Thessaloniki, with an Italian representative present.
