What is the point?

…from the quill of Antisthenes the Younger

Sometimes people ask what is the point? What is the point of my writing and what is the point of their sleepless nights and stomach ulcers? Looking around, are normal people just a deplorable minority?

For example, approximately a half of America wanted as their president a certain Hillary, a person who shamelessly claims that women should be believed except when talking about her rapist spouse. Americans voted (twice!) for a president who donated two billion of the taxpayers money to a terrorist state and avowed enemy of America. One could also mention ex-President Bill Clinton, draft dodger, rapist*, perjurer, admired by feminists everywhere. If America is what it pretends to be, why Americans vote for anti-American leaders?

Is it envy or admirations – I wish I could get away with that; perhaps hatred of America – it is not perfect, so lets destroy it; is it male sexual impotence? One can not blame the depressing state of American politics only on Hollywood, media, Soros, Putin, Davos mafia or perhaps other, different, faceless and nameless manipulators. Is the swamp there to stay?** One Trump is not enough.

About Antisthenes

A Greek philosopher, a pupil of Socrates. Led a revolt, with Diogenes, against the demands of the city-state and the sophistication of life. Accepted the interrelation of knowledge, virtue, and happiness; and sought the ideal condition for happiness in return to primitivism and self-sufficiency. Rejected all social distinctions as based on convention, scorned orthodox religion as a fabrication of lies, and studied early legends and animal life in order to arrive at a true understanding of natural law. The individual was free and self-sufficient when he was master of his passions, secure in his intelligence, impervious to social or religious demands, and satisfied with the poverty of a mendicant. Needless to say, a person who on the Fog of Chaos adopted the Athenian philosopher's name has nothing whatsoever in common with him.
