Socialism? Not for me, thank you. I lived in it.
““You [North] Americans are so gullible. No, you won’t accept Communism outright; but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of Socialism until you will finally wake up and find that you already have Communism. We won’t have to fight you; we’ll so weaken your economy, until you fall like overripe fruit into our hands.”
Nikita S. Khrushchev, Prime minister of the Soviet Union 1953 – 1962
I lived in then socialist Czechoslovakia, 1941 – 1970 and now I am a retiree in Cumming, GA.) My life under communist rule qualifies me to speak about dangers of socialism, creeping in to my new country. Yes, it is the U.S.A.; being targeted by today’s world elites, globalists – socialists. They have already succeeded in the first point of their playbook in dividing us into so many tribes – minorities. We are not just Americans anymore. The tensions between the tribes are being fueled by politicians rewarding this or that group with money collected on taxes of those, who still resist to belong to this or that tribe, being busy at work and taking care of their families.
Destabilization is the second point in the program of the socialists. The nationalized schools are the perfect tool to achieve just that. Trusting parents send their children to school. In a few years they have their kids (in many cases, anyway) changed into ravaging soldiers against global warming, loving everything green, advocates of redistribution of wealth; the shame for history of this country is taken for granted. What kind of nonsense is just a talk about some ancient “Greatest generation?”
The third point in the socialist’s book is Revolution. We have just recently avoided that. There wouldn’t be step back.
“Win majority in the democratically held elections!”says their book. Then it goes like an avalanche: total nationalization of everything.(No private property for those, who don’t understand.) The army, police become just a tool of those in power. Party bosses nominate all their devoted lieutenants to be in charge of all institutions- schools, factories, mines, science. All institutions.
Two years ago, we were so close to this. Thanks God, that people got that God given survival instinct. Who cares being called deplorable and redneck. We survived. For how long?
Country of Venezuela is now the freshest example of a place, where socialists won their election. The “rewards” of that socialist society aren’t only shortages of food, medical supplies and yes, the toilet paper. It is also jails full of those, who don’t fit into the socialist society. The hell, the people of Venezuela are living now, very much reminds me of twenty nine years of my life in then socialist Czechoslovakia.
I am begging here: Please, Americans, don’t let it go! I have already lost one country. I don’t want to lose this one.
